Struggling Middle School Students Achieve 1.4+ Years Reading Gain in One Semester 6-8

Salk Middle School educators knew they had to try something new when 44% of the student body scored below proficient in reading on the state standardized assessment. In just one semester of using Fast ForWord®, students had gained 1.4 grade levels or more in reading. Principal Carole Meyer recounts, “These were kids who not only struggled to read but who didn’t want to read — and now they’re actually enjoying reading!”

Central Minnesota Increases Math Teacher Knowledge and Social-Emotional Learning

During the 2017–18 school year, Sourcewell partnered with Carnegie Learning to provide professional learning for 19 special education teachers to build both their mathematical content knowledge and confidence in the classroom. Data analysis using the Learning Mathematics for Teaching (LMT) Project framework showed that immediate, significant gains were realized after the first week's training that persisted through the end of the year.

Goochland, VA Closes Reading Gaps Quickly with Fast ForWord

Goochland County Public Schools implemented Fast ForWord® in 2017 to help close reading gaps for middle and high school students. Frankfort, IL Sees 22% Growth with Carnegie Learning Math Solution

West Virginia Partners with Carnegie Learning to Deliver Powerful Math Professional Learning

Carnegie Learning has brought high-quality professional learning services to West Virginia teachers for over 10 years, beginning with a partnership with the West Virginia Department of Education Office of Special Programs. The first cohort included 119 educators and was representative of 35 counties from across the state.
